Review
Presenting the work, the 1:50 part model was very conceptual as I wanted the relationship between the thief and collector to be clearly understood. Therefore it is simple and uses relevant material. Glass still being one of the main materials in my design.

Programme
Breaking down the programme was very important to this project as the design is based on the imagined life of the people living in the houses, the thief and the collector. The two houses have a very specific and important relationship which was investigated in a variety of ways, 3D drawings, maps and model making.

Developing the Design
After refining the concept, there needed to be a further division between the houses (the gallery), this serves the narrative as the thief gains views directly into the spaces where the artworks are held and not into the collectors private spaces.

Form and Site
The form relates directly to the programme of the houses and the site. After further study of the site, the front facade is small and pocketed and sits in tightly with the street side, the roof then angles up directly opposing the slope and opens toward the city side, capturing a grand view while standing tall.
